In the course “Survey of English Grammar” we will be covering the most important topics of English grammar in one semester. The course will be particularly useful for future English teachers in that it will give a systematic, but informal, overview of the major topics of English grammar such as
- Parts of Speech
- Verb forms
- Clause structure
- Nouns and NPs
- Adjectives and Adverbs
- Prepositions and PPs
- Negation
- Clause types and speech acts
- Subordination. Finite clauses
- Non-finite clauses
