The first eight English NPIs have been integrated into the NPI Bank, with 10 licensers and a total number of 371 corpus examples. More English data will hopefully be available soon.

The 8th international conference on Names in the Economy took place in Mainz, June 25-27, 2026. At that conference, Manfred Sailer presented a talk on “The practice and the semantics of product naming of puppets: Names of ventriloquist dummies across languages.” In his talk, Manfred tried to use the domain of non-custom-made ventriloquist puppets to combine insights from product onomastics and formal semantics to model the special properties of product names.
