#SciComm4Teachers

Science communication for teachers: Future teachers as science communcators in linguistics and TEFL

#SciComm4Teachers  is a joint teaching project run by Jan-Erik Leonhardt (TEFL; Braunschweig) and Manfred Sailer (linguistics), in cooperation with Linda Fernandes (TEFL) and Sascha Bargmann (linguistics).

The purpose of the project is to explore the potential of offering the creation of science communication objects as an alternative form of examination -i.e. an alternative to a traditional, research-oriented term paper. The science communication formats can take the form of Science Slam presentations, videos, podcasts, etc.

The project is primarily directed towards future teachers of English as a foreign language, as teachers are prime science communicators.

The project is financed through QSL-Projektmittel Lehrkräftebildung of the Akademie für Bildungsforschung und Lehrkräftebildung (ABL), Frankfurt a.M.
