In her thesis, Shene develops a theory of  supplementary relative clauses in English and Sōrānī Kurdish. She looks at two understudied constructions in English (supplementary that relative clauses and determiner-which relative clauses), and presents the first HPSG analysis of Sōrānī Kurdish supplementary relative clauses.
