Bargmann on Non-decomposable Idioms

Sascha Bargmann presented joint work with Manfred Sailer on the Syntactic Flexibility of Non-decomposable Idioms during the 16th Szklarska Poreba Workshop, February 20-23, 2015.

The basic idea is that syntactically regular, semantically non-decomposable idioms (such as kick the bucket) should not be represented by a phrasal lexical entry but rather as single words that make a (partially) redundant semantic contribution.
